A new report systematically maps the business of forced labor in cocoa and tea supply chains, finding that so-called ethical certification schemes such as Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade are largely ineffective in combatting labor exploitation. The report instead calls for enforcement-focused WSR to address the root causes of abuse in global agricultural production.
